WOODCOCK SPLURGES

NOTE: My good friend Rory and I are trying an exercise. We're giving each other story titles (and only the titles, nothing else), and from just that scrap of information we're to write a short story. I gave him the straightforward title "The Cowboy and the Prophet." The one he gave me was, in typical Rory fashion, "Woodcock Splurges." This is what came out of that.
